"Don't let the fat chick beat you"?

I have been racing for about 5 years now. I am not a typical runner or even triathlete. I fight with serious medical conditions every step of the way, but each step makes me stronger. I have two boys both with special needs and I have learned to chalk that up to making me stronger as well.

It is with sad heart that I must report that lupus has won the battle this year, but trust me when I say the war is far from over! My racing days are not over by any stretch of the imagination. This is just a minor setback that will make me stronger.

Well, Wednesday night was yet another weigh in at Weight Watchers and for good or bad, the number on the scale didn’t move at all! I am very happy with it not going up, between all the stress lately and TOM I was expecting it to go up at least a little. Once again, my goal this week is to write down EVERYTHING! With everything going on, my great planning has gone out the window. That is ok, there is nothing I can do about yesterday, I can only work on today and tomorrow!
I did manage to hit the gymlet Wednesday during lunch, for whatever reason my run/walk was a serious struggle. I haven’t needed my inhaler for a while, but I really needed to have it with me that day! Yesterday the stars just did not align for a workout, so I took a rest day (but man did I hit the stairs). I left my lunch at home so I had to get something instead of working out (I do not have enough snacks to have worked out without a lunch).
I also went window shopping last night for Freddie’s supplies, while I was in Target I get a text message with a picture of him, I started squealing! Luckily I was with the kiddo who knows about Freddie!
Carin is having a rough day or two. Her tail motor seems to have gotten stuck and isn’t going near as much as it was the past handful of days. She also hasn’t been getting up on my bed the past two nights, so I get on the floor with her and love on her for a while. She did get mad at Charlie because he was playing with Pentipus (he only came with 5 legs, he cannot be an octopus!) on my bed and he accidently threw if off my bed (nowhere near her), he leaned off my bed to grab it and Carin started growling. Charlie left the toy and hid back up on my bed! I threw him the toy while loving on Carin.
Charlie is getting more and more fidgety for a playmate (besides me).
Today, I have my lunch packed and I am hoping to get a weight session in at the gymlet.

Weight Watchers Weigh in #6

The past two weeks have been a little to dramatic for my liking, but we are making it through (somehow)! First and foremost, Carin is acting like she is feeling great! At this point not only do I not want to know what her numbers are I don’t care! When she moved she is a little stiff, but man does that tail wag up a storm when she sees me. Right now she loves her Mac and Cheese with either hot dogs or chicken (plus one scoop of her food). She will climb up on my bed (I have stairs for her) most nights for a little while and then she will take her place in either the bathroom or the top of the stairs, both locations have a makeshift bed for her. She has also been greeting me at the door in the afternoons. She also seems to enjoy sneaking into Charlie’s bed and eating his food while he sits on my bed and just stares at her in disbelief! Freddie is still moving in (17 days left) and we are hoping Carin will stick around for a while to teach him the proper way of being a fur child in our family. On the weight and training front, things aren’t quite as good, but they aren’t horrible either. I finally started moving my butt again this past Monday. I made it down stairs for a 45 minute session on the elliptical machine and felt pretty good. Yesterday, Kiddo #1 couldn’t find his swimsuit so he was not able to go swimming while I went to yoga, I made him come with me! My legs got an amazing working last night! Kiddo #1 did a great job (no complaining, no fidgeting) but after the class he did complain his muscles hurt!
Tonight is weigh in #6 with weight watchers. I have less that 3.2 pounds to hit my first goal. I would love to make it, but I will be happy for any loss today. On the eating front, I haven’t really been paying to much attention to what I should be eating, but I am trying. The whole writing everything day bit is kicking my butt AND the night grazing.
Today, I am looking forward to a nice treadmill session!

Canine Companions

I did a fly by at Weight Watchers last night (I had just brought Carin to the vet to have her catheter removed and she was sitting in the car) and even through this past week has been a nightmare I managed to lose a half a pound! When I am stressed I don’t eat right (sometimes I don’t eat at all other times I can’t stop eating) and my physical activity plummets. So I am ecstatic about the half a pound!
As far as ‘Freddie’ is concerned there are two schools of thought about getting a new dog before the departure of the old one. Some believe you must have time to mourn the loss of a friend/companion. Others feel it is necessary for the old one to meet the new one in order for the old one to gain peace of mind. Carin has been an amazing companion to me through some very difficult times. She makes it obvious that she worries about me. I am one of those who feels it is necessary for her to give her chew of approval for any new four legged child who comes into my life. Add that to the fact I have two kids who have spent the better part of their lives with her and then there is Charlie! Charlie the oversized lap dog who knows how to play on different levels; my boys he plays a gentle game of tug-a-war, me he wrestles and body slams lightly, Carin it used to be all out rough housing! I wanted a bulldog but that would not have been a good match for Charlie.
The other night I was trying to come up with a name so they could start using that name when dealing with him. I was sitting them trying to come up with something and Charlie was sitting right next to me. Chaos, Cody, Diego – nah, none of them sounded right. Linus (one of Charlie’s nicknames is Charlie Brown), Freddie… Charlie jumped on me and started licking me! I named a few more and he ignored me again, Freddie again, he was on top of me giving me kisses! OK! I get the picture, you want him to be named Freddie! Mind you this is the same dog who came from the pound with the name of “Buba” and while driving I was asking him what his name should be and he ignored all names but Charlie.

And God said, "This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13 I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14 Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, 15 I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16 Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."
17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."
Genesis 9:12-17 NIV

Let me start this off by saying I am not a very religious person, do I believe in God? Yes! Do I go to church every Sunday? No. I personally prefer paying my respects in surroundings He has provided!
With all that said, what’s the point to my babbling? On Monday the vet told me that realistically there is nothing else they can do for Carin, ok, they can keep her on the IV fluid treatment but she now seems to be suffering from depression. After speaking to my sister we agreed that the IVs are going to stop. When I left for work yesterday I was scared to death to even think about what I was going to come home to. Carin was on the top of the stairs and when I said good morning to her I barely got a wag. Charlie was doing the serious pee-pee dance (he won’t step over her) and that didn’t get her tail wagging (I swears she thinks it’s funny watching him try to figure out how to get around her). I did convince her to eat some egg yolk but other than that she didn’t want anything.

I started looking for a new Charlie friend, he isn’t happy that his bestest buddy in the whole wide world isn’t playing with him. I wanted a bulldog, but I know that would not be a good companion for Charlie (he LOVES to play rough) and must have a high energy companion. I did find a bulldog that was located in Denver, but when I contacted the seller they were in Ohio (red flag!); then there was two, not just one (red flag!); Western Union the money to whomever (checked google, and my friend google had scam alert after scam alert! told the person, thanks but no thanks! Then I came across an ad for boxer puppies (Carin is a purebred boxer), the seller is local(ish), so I placed a call and left a message. On the way home I figured I would stop by Panera, Carin LOVES their bread bowl with the cheese and broccoli soup in it. If anything can make her eat that will! As I was driving up to my house I started crying. I had no idea what I was coming home to, part of me didn’t want to know but I knew I couldn’t sit outside my house until my sister got home (she had class). I sucked it up and walked up the sidewalk, no Carin nose. I unlocked the front door and still no Carin nose (she is not a talker), I opened the door and there she was wagging her butt as hard as she could! Carin was never cropped or docked (illegal in Europe) so she wags her tail her entire rear ends wags!
I went upstairs to let Charlie out (Charlie is kenneled during the day, he is a chewer, but he is getting better) and he noticed I had food in my hand, Carin didn’t care that Charlie stopped to inspect HER food (any food that comes into the house is hers). After opening the back door for them to come in and out as they please I went back upstairs where Carin practically bounced onto my bed. We had a picnic right there. If the chunks of bread bowl did not have enough soup of them Carin didn’t want them and left it to Charlie to dispose of.
I was talking to my mom about an appointment she just took Kiddo #2 to and my phone indicated that I had another call coming in. It was the call about the boxers! She only has boys left and they would be ready for their new homes on 14 Aug 10. She told me more about them, but that is the highlights! They do not have names yet (Carin had her name when she joined my family) so I started talking to Charlie about names, the second I said ‘Freddie’ Charlie attacked me! Giving me all sorts of kisses! Ok, Freddie it is!

I got a picture of Freddie and he looks like he could be Carin natural puppy. The whole point about the rainbow is last night I saw one and this morning there was an amazing one on the way to work. A friend who is also going through some tough times (hers worse than mine) pointed out that seeing a rainbow is God’s way of saying everything will be ok.
Oh, I didn’t make it to yoga last night. I figured Carin is more important! Oh, yea, today is weigh in day!

Carin Day 3

Well, yesterday was Day 3 at the doggy hospital. She took a lot more fluid then she had the two previous days, she was able to take over a liter! They redid her blood work and two numbers had improved (it might have only been a smidge, but they improved!). Unfortunately being poked and prodded for three out of the last four days got to her and she is very mopey. So the vet said we could decide if she needed to come back in and we have decided she is going to stay home today! We put her food bowl right next to her on the top of the stairs and she has a water bowl there too! (The pic is when she first met my boys [I can't remember whose rump that is], boy did they love her then and they love her even more now!)

Oh! And I am still working on eating right, the training has gone a little to the off track the past few days, but I am hoping to get to yoga tonight.

Day 3

Today is Carin’s third day visiting the doggy hospital. She was diagnosed with chronic renal failure over a year ago and her latest blood test was REALLY bad. Her numbers have more than tripled over the last 7 months. The doc wanted her to come in for IV fluid treatment, which we started on Friday. She went in again on Saturday and then this morning. They will be retesting her blood this afternoon and I am hoping upon all hopes that they see improvement.

The weather over the weekend has not helped her condition. She has not wanted to eat (and neither has Charlie) I am guessing because it is just plain straight out to hot. She is trying to drink every chance she gets, but I don’t think it is enough. She hasn’t wanted to really move, she will lay in one spot (causing pain to her hindquarters) but she gets excited when people walk by her. Her spirit is fine; her body isn’t doing great right now. But the past three days of doggy hospital will fix all that and she will come home and be fine!

My baby girl

The end of last week through the early part of this week Carin has been indicating that she has been in pain. So, like a good mommy I went into the vet to find out what pain pills I can give her. As I should have expected they won’t give her anything with her blood test being done (she has kidney disease). So, like a good mommy I brought her in for her blood work the next morning (she had to fast). Last night I got a message from the vet saying her kidneys are getting worse.
Carin has been part of my family for six years now (15 Jun 04). I got her less than a month after returning from Iraq and I swear she is the reason I haven’t gone nuts. I have watched stuff and for whatever reason I will just completely broken down into tears and she, time and time again, has climbed into my lap and would not move no matter how many times I have told her I am fine. Or if there is something else going on in my life she is right there. During the winter she even climbs under my blankets to make sure my feet don’t get cold (isn’t that nice of her!). She is my baby girl. My boys look at her as their sister she is a family member.
I am waiting for the vet to call back to find out where we go from here. Since the first diagnosis Carin has been on a low protein diet, she eats Hills Prescription Diet k/d® Canine Renal Health with a shot of aluminum hydroxide and something yummy (like broccoli) mixed in. If she does not get her aluminum hydroxide mixed into her food then I get woken up in the middle of the night to change my sheets (Carin usually sleeps on my bed) because she peed and didn’t realize it. Luckily for me she is a huge fan of the veggies and oddly enough like me she can’t handle the sodium. Ok, I admit, she also LOVES popcorn and pretzels! But other than that she eats very healthy food. To add insult to injury she has been unintentionally losing weight (she has lost almost 10 pounds since her last visit a month or two ago).
Vet called and numbers have triple, bringing her into the vet.

I was 1.18 pounds away from my first goal (1.18 pounds away from a new yoga mat!)

I am sad to report that I am now 3.58 pounds away from my new yoga mat. Yup! I successfully put on 2.4 pounds this week. So it is time to think about what went wrong this week!
#1 – I am still horrible at tracking my food.
#2 – Weekends are blown out the window.
#3 – I have not been consistent in getting some sort of physical activity in every day (my knee flare up didn’t help that one!)
#4 – I have been snacking on a lot of saltier snacks and I know my body doesn’t handle salt well.
#5 – Nighttime snacking, very bad! I really need to work on that.
So, this week I will work on entering everything, to include nighttime snacks, into my tracker. I will be permitted to have my dessert if and only if I have the points available for it (without cutting into my weekly points or activity points).
Activity – if I do not get my workout in during the day, I will Kiddo #1 out for a walk. I am sure Kiddo #2 will want to come along too, which is fine!
Those are the two things I am going to work on this week.

I’m listening!

This weekend I figured I would go ahead and start P90X and I was ready and set up to get out of bed way to early Monday morning. My alarm went off and my feet hit the ground and I asked myself what the hell was I doing! It wasn’t the whole getting up way to early, it wasn’t the P90X, it was the ‘what time of day do you feet hurt the worst?’ I KNOW my feet take about an hour every morning before they go from painful to tender at the worst. Ok, I can do this video after work, no issue.
During lunch I planned on hitting the gymlet for a nice 45 minute (+5 for cool down) treadmill session. I have worked my way up to walking 3, run 2. By the end of my workout that stupid bubble feeling returned to my knee. Ok, fine, we have dealt with this before, we can do it again. Later that afternoon I took my sister to the book store and I knelt down to look at something and man did I hit the roof! OK! I get the picture! No P90X this week. I wrapped my knee and I am not sitting on my leg like I usually do. I understand I need to take an easy week this week, fine. Not an issue!
I made it to yoga last night and with some minor modifications I made it through without pain. Knowing I can’t put pressure on my knee I spoke to the instructor before class to ask for modifications. She said we would be starting off with cat/cow and to remain seated (instead of going on into the Table Top pose), child’s pose – do what is comfortable and anything else she will help me with. We were doing the low lunge and I put a block below my knee and I had no issues. The instructor kept coming over to make sure I was ok. Towards the end we were doing Happy Baby (I love Happy Baby) every time I would roll over to my right side I would feel an uncomfortable sensation coming from my mid to lower back (not my spine). So, with everything going on lately, I am going to go have the blood work done the doc wanted me to do over the next few months.
Tonight is Weight Watchers and I have 1.18 pounds until I get my new yoga mat. Come on 1.2 pounds! We can do this. Oh, yea, and I have 4.4 pounds until I hit my first Wight Watchers goal.

The Ultimate Difficult Journey

This weekend has been a little hard. Starting on Friday I was in a not pleasant situation and my body did not deal with it very well. When I went to pick up my kiddos I had to have them help me down the stairs because it hurt too much to do it on my own.
Saturday I played the part of the strong supportive friend and trust me it was the hardest thing I have done in a long time. A close friend had to put her best friend of 13 years down and she was devastated. I told her I would go with her if she wanted and she took me up on my offer (I am glad she did, no one should have to go through that alone). I got to Jan’s house a little before 1:00 pm and Whistler was lounging on the front yard bark away at my arrival. Jan and I sat there for a good half hour letting Whistler pig out on snacks while loving on her. Finally Jan said it was time and puller her vehicle out of the garage and we loaded Whistler into the back (that puppy was heavy!). Solemnly we drove to the vet while Whistler enjoyed having the back window opened and checked out the scenery. When we got there Jan went in to get a tech to help carry Whistler in and I sat next to Whistler and scratched her ears and just made sure she knew she was loved. Jan came out a little while later with to techs carrying a stretcher. Whistler was carried in while acting like the Queen of Sheba! I hung around outside, did up the windows (sounded like we were in for a HUGE rain storm) and then sat in the waiting room. Hey! This is a personal time and I thought it be best I just stay out of the way and give them their time, well, Jan came out and asked if I would go in. I was fine until the pink liquid came in. Mind you, last year I had to go with my sister so we could put down our 18 year old friend who looked a lot like Whistler. Of course as Whistler took her last breath Jan’s water works were on full blast (do you blame her?). We managed to stay in there for a few moments and then Jan just had to leave. As we were waiting outside for the paw print this monster puppy went tromping by but stopped to say hi to Jan! I think that made her feel a little bit better. We continued on to Safeway and acted like complete idiots! We went in there for eggs and meds and walked out with almost $100 worth of groceries! Jan gave me a trunk full of doggy treats when we got back to her house. She seems to be doing ok, but I know it hurts. She now has an empty house. I called her on Saturday night to see how she was doing and she said her eyes are hurting so much she keeps taking naps! She knows Whistler was ready to go, but it doesn’t make it any easier.
Sunday was a much more enjoyable day. I promised to take the kiddos to Elitch Gardens this weekend and we normally do not go on Sundays, but this weekend we made an exception. We were there from the time the park opened at 10:00 until about 2:00 pm. Hitting the slides and the wave pool and the lazy man river and just having an all in all good time.
I got no formal training sessions in over the weekend, but I think I can count a good walk on Friday, weight lifting on Saturday and stairs/swimming on Sunday!

1. My life is likely to last 10-15 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me. It is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment, but I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I do understand your voice when speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I will never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, before you strike me, remember that I could hurt you, and yet, I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I have been in the sun too long, or my heart might be getting old or weak.

9. Please take care of me when I grow old. You too, will grow old.

10. On the ultimate difficult journey, go with me please. Never say you can't bear to watch. Don't make me face this alone. Everything is easier for me if you are there, because I love you so.

Talk about a journey!

Well I successfully made it through another weigh in! I am down another 3.4 pounds, I have no idea how, but I did it! This weekend kiddos have been promised a trip up to Elitch Gardens and with the exorbitant prices up there we pack our own lunches and take a stroll out to the car to eat, so I know for lunch I will do fine!
Yesterday I was trying to figure out my bills, my car payment is coming up tomorrow and it got me to thinking. I got my car the year I started racing. Then I had to think back just when that was. I started racing in 2007! Then my brain went on to just how much I have accomplished. Had someone have told me four years ago that I would be where I am today I would have laughed at them!
My whole dream of racing started back in 2001. I was working as a life guard at the YMCA, I was fat. I would get in the pool during my lunch break and swim. I also started walking/running. One day I met the most inconsiderate pompous guy (or so I thought) who strutted around the pool in a speedo and would not get out of the pool when I told him to. I later got to know him. It turned out that Dirk was a pro triathlete who was going to school nearby and needed to get his swims in. He gave me pointers here and there while I was in the pool on my breaks (which I am truly grateful to him). Then I found out one of my early morning regulars was an Ironman. To add to all of this another one of my lunch time regulars (maybe late 30s, on the boarder of normal and plus sized) was doing Danskins Triathlon (sprint distance). So I figured, I got the swimming down pat, I am working on the running and I added riding to my regime. I can do this. At the time I wasn’t in the greatest of situations maritally speaking. I had to get into a better situation. I lost 80 pounds and I was ready to do the Danskins triathlon in Denver the summer of 2002, well, I re-entered the military and I was shipping out prior to the race. I had not given up on triathlons yet. A year and a half later I found myself in Iraq and injured (non-combat related), shortly thereafter I found out just how badly I was hurt and I gave up on my dream of becoming a triathlete.
Fast forward to New Years 2007, I made a resolution to become a triathlete even if that meant crawling across the finish line long after everyone else went home. It was time. I actually started to well up with tears when I finished filling out all the information for my first tri. A friend of mine decided to sign up for the Denver Marathon and I told her she was out of her ever loving mind, a few days later I signed up for it too! My first triathlon was in Greely, CO and it took me a while after crossing the finish line to realize what I had just accomplished! I had two more triathlons that summer, one of which was Danskins. As far as the marathon went, I figured I would be smart and hire a coach to get me ready for the marathon. Talk about a huge mistake (during a group TRAIL run, I was left behind and no one waited at the end to make sure I made it back alive [yes, I got lost]). The only good thing about that coach was she suggested I sign up for a half marathon and I met a new friend at that race (she still motovates me to this day).
Anyway here we are years later, I am still racing, I am a LOT smarter, I am still fluffy, but I have earned bragging rights. I KNOW I can do things that the majority of the population has never even tried. Mind you, the injury I sustained while in Iraq is still there and still reminds me I am not invincible. I reminded on a regular basis that I have to slow down from time to time. If I don’t listen, I WILL pay! This year I did get a trophy for coming in third in the Athena category!

Weigh in day!

I am still not posting pictures! But today is weigh in day and hopefully the scale looks similar to what it did last night (hey, after the weekend I had, I was worried!). As long as I don’t go up I am happy!
Last night I stopped by my glasses place in hopes they could work a miracle with my glasses, I managed to get a nice scrape in the middle of one of my lenses. Fully expecting to be told there was nothing they could do and I would just have to buy a new pair, I was VERY pleasantly surprised! I decided to purchase the anti-glare and the anti-scratch two-year guarantee; I hit two years next month! So, I will be getting replacement lenses at no cost to me!
After picking up my monkeys we headed up to the Y. I wanted to go to yoga and the boys had been good so I planned on letting them play in the pool. I told Kiddo #1 that it would be awesome if they were out of the pool and waiting for me when my yoga class was over. Since I was early to yoga I got on the elliptical machine for a while and then I headed into yoga. The gal next to me was wearing short shorts. EXCUSE ME! You will be bending in every which direction, you do not wear short shorts to yoga! I felt pretty good afterwards, my hands weren’t hurting after class this time. That is not me in the picture! We did do that pose, except I can’t hold my foot like that because it hurts to put that kind of pressure on it. I have to modify a lot of things to keep the painful pressure off my foot. I am hoping yoga will help my feet come back to normal!I finished up, headed towards the locker room so I could grab my stuff and then go into the pool to drag my boys out kicking a screaming. As I approached the locker rooms I saw two boys sitting on the chairs, one of the boys was fast asleep! Yup, they are my kiddos! Kiddo #1 misunderstood me and thought I had said 6:00! They got out, didn’t see me when into the gym to play some basketball and then returned to the chairs to wait for me! I think they want to do that more often!
Here is to my weight loss tracker showing less than 90 pounds to lose!

Thank God the weekend is over!

This weekend was both good and bad. The good thing was I got my room rearranged like I have been wanting to for a while, bad I ate like a pig! Every single weekend I eat horribly over the weekend.
Saturday I got up, made a great (healthy) breakfast for everyone and then reeled everyone into helping me move furniture. Lunch was great, I had one of my SmartOnes, and dinner was out the window!
Sunday breakfast was a little bad, but not to bad. Lunch/dinner – we went to Golden Corral. I had a nice salad, then I went to the mashed potatoes and the asparagus and the corn and the… You get the picture! Oh yea, I also hit the dessert area.
Yesterday wasn’t insanely horrible, but I was still an oinker! I had a good breakfast, a good lunch, took Kiddo #1 and Charlie out for a walk. We took a break at Starbucks and we all got a drink (yes, Charlie was enjoying his water as he lounged under the table). Got home had some chips and salsa with a little bit of cheese, then I had a popsicle, and then dinner and then… And I won’t even go into the number of sodas I consumed this weekend.
Like I said, I did take Kiddo #1 and Charlie out for a walk yesterday. One of my rules with Charlie is when we are walking we do not cross the street until he sits. By the time we were a block from home he was done! He let me know this the same way he always lets me know he is done with his workout. I tell him to sit and he lies down. Yesterday he decided to put on a performance for Kiddo #1. A block away from home we stop at the corner and he walks onto the yard and lies in the nice shade provided by the tree. He finally gets up, we get to the sidewalk in front of the house, I take him off leash (both dogs know “door”), and I tell him “door” does he go to the door? NO, he lies down right behind my truck and looks at me. Obviously he gets up and comes to the door, but he made sure I knew he did not approve! The poor abused puppy went straight out the backdoor to his favorite spot in the shade and backyard service delivered a bowl of nice cold water to him. Some puppies!
Last week's goals
Monday – Weight training and swimming – check!
Tuesday – 45 minutes treadmill/elliptical machine and yoga – sorta check!
Wednesday – Weight training and swimming (Weigh in day!) – Nope (dealt with sick kid).
Thursday – 45 minutes treadmill/elliptical machine and hour bike – check!
Friday – Swimming, bike or rest - Well, I did rest, so Check!
Saturday – Yoga – moved furniture!
Sunday – Swimming – nope! To sore from moving furniture!

This week for goals I am not going to spell out what days I will do what! I will say my goal is:
Two 45 minute sessions on the treadmill;
One yoga session;
Two weight sessions;
Two pool sessions; and
Two walks with Kiddo #1.
Dietary – slow down on the weekends. If I get the munchies I will eat carrots or something with very few point.
Tomorrow is weigh in day :( - please let me (by some strange miracle) not have put weight back on!

New Pair of Running Socks!!!!

According to Weight Watchers I now have 7.8 pound before I hit their goal. Mind you they break it down differently than I would, but that is ok. To hit my first goal I have 4.58 pounds to go because at the weigh in last night I lost 5 pounds! Yes, exactly 5 pounds! That is even with me having a horrible eating weekend AND not being able to get my workout yesterday because I had to take a sick kiddo to the doc. This week I going to focus on writing EVERYTHING down! I know some of the weight at first will fall off and then I will level out, I am fine with that. Yes, this weight came on quickly, but I am more than happy to take my time getting it off (that way it will stay off!).
I have to say, I have a friend who is starting a program and was VERY brave and posted a before set of pictures, I would love to have that courage, but I am just not there. I haven’t even taken my before shots! I keep planning on doing it but never get around to it. I would be more than happy to post my goal picture, but I don’t think that counts for anything!!!!
Got to the gymlet today, but I am not hitting the pool (I think I might be getting an ear infection, so I will stay out of the water!)
